PerformrGO Frequently Asked Questions
Answers about PerformrGO features, pricing, the school directory, parent and coach access, and account management for performing arts applicants.
Getting Started
How do I create an account?
Click "Get Started" or "Sign Up" on any page, enter your email and a password, and you're in. The first time you log in we'll walk you through a short onboarding so we know which schools and programs to surface for you.
What does a subscription include?
Performer ($19/mo or $190/yr) includes everything: school directory, application tracking, material uploads, self-tape studio, calendar, deadline reminders, coach collaboration, and a parent dashboard. No tiers, no locked features.
When should I start using PerformrGO?
Most students start in June-August before their senior year. This gives you time to research schools, organize materials, and prepare for the October-December application season.
Can I see it before subscribing?
Yes. Request a personalized demo from our pricing page. We'll walk you through the platform so you know exactly what you're getting before you subscribe.
How do I add schools to my list?
Browse the school directory, click on any program, and select "Add to My Applications." The school will appear in your dashboard with all deadlines automatically synced.
Features & Functionality
How does deadline tracking work?
When you add a school, all deadlines (prescreen, audition, callback, decision) are automatically added to your dashboard and calendar. Performer tier includes email and in-app reminders to help you stay on track.
What types of files can I upload?
Performer lets you upload videos, headshots, resumes, essays, PDFs, images, and audio recordings directly. All files are stored securely with version history so you can track changes over time.
Can I organize different versions of my materials?
Yes. Upload new versions of any material and PerformrGO saves the full version history with change notes. You can always see which version was submitted to each school.
What is the Self-Tape Studio?
The Self-Tape Studio is a dedicated space to manage scripts, practice with line-by-line tools, record takes, and organize your saved tapes by school and requirement slot (monologue, song, dance, slate).
Can I track my application status?
Yes. Update each application's status: Not Started, In Progress, Submitted, Callback, Accepted, Rejected, Waitlisted, or Final Choice. Progress bars and checklists show your completion percentage for each school.
Can I review performing arts programs?
Yes. Students can write reviews of programs, rating their prescreen, audition, campus visit, and overall experience. Reviews include verified applicant badges and helpful voting from other students.
What happens to my data after I graduate?
Your data stays with you. PerformrGO is built for the long performing arts journey: summer stock auditions, training camps, professional opportunities, and graduate school applications. Your portfolio and history are preserved as long as your account is active. If you ever want to remove your data permanently, you can request account deletion anytime from the Data Deletion page.
Pricing & Billing
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit/debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay through Paddle, our payment provider. iOS App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll retain access until the end of your billing period.
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. We offer a full refund on your most recent subscription payment within 14 days of that payment, for any reason. To request, reply to your Paddle receipt email or contact info@performrgo.com. See our Refund Policy page for details.
Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. Upgrade anytime to access more features. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period. You won't lose any data when changing tiers.
Are there family discounts?
Each student requires a separate subscription. Performer tier includes a parent dashboard with a separate login so parents can stay informed.
Parent & Coach Access
Do parents get their own login?
Yes. Parents get a separate login with a dedicated read-only dashboard. They can see application progress, upcoming deadlines, and applied schools. Students control exactly what parents can see through granular permissions.
How does coach collaboration work?
Students invite coaches to collaborate on the platform. Coaches get their own login with a dashboard showing all assigned students. They can review materials, leave timestamped video feedback, track revisions, and assign tasks.
Can parents edit my applications?
No. Parents have view-only access. They cannot edit materials, change application statuses, or contact coaches. Students maintain full control over their applications.
Can I have multiple parents?
Yes. Each parent gets their own account with independent login credentials and permissions, perfect for divorced or separated families.
What can coaches see?
Students set granular permissions for each coach. You can allow coaches to view materials, view schools, and provide feedback. You can also restrict access to specific materials or schools.
School Directory
How many schools are in the directory?
Our directory includes 900+ schools and 4,500+ performing arts programs across Musical Theatre, Acting, Theatre, Music, Dance, and Tech Theater (including design, stage management, and directing) in the United States, with comprehensive details on requirements, deadlines, and submission platforms.
How often is the directory updated?
We update the directory annually (May-August) and verify changes manually. Schools can also update their own information directly.
What if a school's information is wrong?
Report any errors through the "Report Issue" button on the school's page. We verify and update information within 48 hours. Always confirm critical details directly with schools.
How many schools can I track?
Unlimited. Add as many schools as you need to your dashboard, with no caps.
What if the school I want isn't in the directory?
You can add any school manually. Click "Add Custom School" from your dashboard, enter the program name and any details you have, and it will appear alongside your other tracked schools with the same tracking tools: deadlines, checklists, materials, and application status.
